Fun and Games
Here I sit, watching my favorite TV show... NCIS... The story line is pretty much your run-of-the-mill crime show, but the characters are what has me hooked. They're hilarious!! I can't figure out which one is my favorite. I don't think I could choose! Gibbs is so rough and tough on the outside and a teddy bear on the inside. Tony is obnoxious, but endearing. McGee is a geeky, sweet junior agent that's always getting picked on. Ziva is a Massad agent who has trouble with her English idioms. Abbey is the sweetest, goth forensics specialist that you'd ever meet. Ducky is wonderfully British, and wonderfully boring. What more do you need? There are a few other characters that aren't so central, but are still also great. I can't talk about Kate. I'm still traumatized from watching her die. (You'll have to watch the end of season two to really understand.) I'd highly recommend it to anyone. I even got Shelle to watch it. She tries to convince me that she doesn't like it, but she'll watch a couple hours of it in a row. And sometimes she does it on her own! I tell ya. Good stuff.
Ok, I'll stop babbling... at least about NCIS. I'm so tired right now that I'm having a hard time thinking. I didn't get to sleep until about 1:30 or so. I was reading a book, trying to relax, when I realized I had a midterm due at 5 PM the next day. EEK!! And it wasn't a piddley little nothing one, either. It was for my History of the French Language class... four essay questions and twenty (really hard) multiple choice. I finally fell asleep, only to wake up about five hours later so I could make it to my 8 AM class. I worked on the test between classes (except for just before Hebrew, I had some translating to do) and it took me two and a half hours after class to finally finish. So, all in all, I'd say it was about four and a half hours. And I pretty much "educated guessed" on most of the multiple choice. Sigh...
Oh, and did I mention that I have a cold! Yep. I'm sick. Again. Two weeks ago I had the flu, last week I was having back problems, and this week I have a head cold. I guess I'm just not supposed to be able to think at all right now. It's not like I really need to, though. All I have is twelve credits of upper level university classes and sixty or so pages of 17th century French to translate. Nothing much.
Hmmm... What else...
Gee, I can't really think of anything. So I'll talk about my favorite movie instead! For the moment, it is most definitely the 2006 Masterpiece Theater version of Jane Eyre (click here). Mucho grande good stuff. It is the best version that I've ever seen, and I've seen a few. I've loved the story since the very first time I read the book. I was thirteen. I still remember sitting in my parents fifth wheel trailer and being completely engrossed in the book. It's a chick flick, but it's a great chick flick. If you've never read the book, you have to go get it right now. Jane Eyre, by Charlotte Bronte, written in 1847. Read it. Now. If you're not a reader, then this movie is the next best thing.
Wow. I'm not very interesting today. I do apologize. I'll write more later. When I'm not as brain dead. :)

You posted, here's your cookie! ;) My fam enjoys NCIS as well, we watch dvd's all the time since we don't have real tv. And NCIS gets played a lot! We only have the first two seasons, I'm sure we'll buy more soon. We hate that Kate gets it! How could they do that? And not leave any wiggle room for her to be ok?
I'll have to check out Jane Eyre one of these days. I enjoy movies in that vein.
Good luck with school and get some sleep!
